I am not a fan of dieting nor calorie counting. I am loving this way of eating because it's mainly foods I would have eaten anyway (organic, raw, naturally raised, etc) but I've learned a lot about how important it is to avoid certain foods. I've also learned that my husband and I are different types and it's a simple matter to put some more of the carbs on his plate and a little more protein on mine.
